Cannot open port 80 in DVR

Some internet provider block port 80 due to bandwidth consumption. Our systems are able to change these important ports.

Please follow the steps below and find open ports.

1) Network --> Webcam Server

2) Tab Server, then change HTTP port from 80 to 84 and hit OK to apply. (Note: Instead of using port 80, we can try port 81, 82, 83, 84, 85.)

3) Also, you have to login to the router and change port 80 to 84 on port forwarding. (Note: Fror example, your external IP address is 74.57.26.94, now new one should be http://74.57.26.94:84)

Having Intermittent Blue screen on playback

These blue screens are caused by quick stop on motion that are within the camera field of view. Turning pre and post recoding will stop this issue.

Pre recording will leave the DVR consistently recording but only generate a file once the motion is triggered, in this case you will have a 10sec pre recording

Post recording is a feature that once the motion has a stopped the recording will continue depending on the set time.

Problem: Having blue screen video in the middle of playback. Solution: This is caused by intermittent motion. Go to System Configure

Then activate the Pre and Post recording.

How to change wireless camera channel?

1) Follow the instructions like the diagram shown to take off the hood and cover.



2) Adjust the channel switch as the diagram on the left. (Note: The receiver can only support up to 4 cameras working at the same time. An dmake sure all four cameras should have their own set of channel frequency.)

How to find your local IP and WAN IP?

1) Go Start button -> Run

2) Type CMD, then click OK

3) You should see the DOS prompt.

Tip 1: Reduce interference on your wireless network Tip 2: Change the channel on your wireless router Tip 3: Improve wireless router signal strength Tip 4: How to Improve Wireless Range Tip 5: Wireless Dymistified Wireless Networking Tip #1 Reduce interference on your wireless network Since wireless networks use radio waves to transmit signals, it's possible that typical household electronics-your microwave, cordless phone or even the baby monitor- can interfere with this signal. Make sure you move your wireless router away from those devices that use the same 2.4GHz frequency range. Other causes of interference are brick and cinderblock walls, metal doors, metal frames around windows and doors, and metal filing cabinets. Take these simple steps to reduce wireless interference: Move the router further away from the interfering device or object. If there is interference with a phone, you can change the channel of the phone or the Router so they use different channels. If there is still too much interference, you may have to buy a different phone system, operating at either 900MHz or 5GHz. Place the wireless router in a central location of your house, such as a family room or office. Arrange the desktop or laptop's wireless antenna so that it points toward the wireless router. Avoid placing the antenna close to an outside wall (unless outside is where you want to be). If you want to connect while you're outside, place the router near a window. Place your Access Point as high as possible. If your network goes through multiple floors, try to place the Access Point on the upper floor.
